WHO WE ARE
Psalm 66:2 says, “Sing for the honor of His name; make His praise glorious.” The importance of singing to the Lord, for the Lord, and about the Lord is evidenced by the fact that music is mentioned in the Bible over 800 times. Worship to God is our natural response when He is working in our lives. It is part of living a victorious Christian life.
WHAT WE DO
There is a place for every person regardless of age or musical background in the worship ministry. Are you interested in choral or instrumental opportunities? Our worship ministry allows those ages preschool through senior adults use their talents for the Lord.
The Worship Choir leads us every Sunday morning during the 10:30 service as well as special events throughout the year. No music reading ability or audition is required for membership, just a heart for worship and faithfulness in rehearsals. The Worship Choir is open to 9th graders through senior adults. The Worship Choir rehearses at 6:30 on Wednesday evenings in the choir room.
The orchestra plays during the 10:30 service as well as special events throughout the year. The orchestra rehearses on Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m. in the orchestra room.
We have opportunities for children in grades 1 - 5 regardless of their musical ability or background. During choir, children will learn about music and how to worship God. Our purpose is to teach them to praise the Lord with thankfulness in their hearts through singing and playing instruments. Children's Choir meets Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m.
This is our senior adult choir which is open to anyone age 55 and up whether they have ever sung in choir or not. The Hallelujah Choir sings familiar hymns, but also learns new songs as well. They minister in the local communities by presenting a program with singing, Scripture reading and witnessing. The choir rehearses the third Thursday of the month at 12:00 p.m., has lunch, then goes to a nursing home to present their program.
