Covid-19 Guidelines & Updates

Reopening Guidelines:

Everyone

  • Masks will be strongly encouraged while congregating in large areas for those three and older (i.e. worship center, hallways, foyer, fellowship hall, outside doors.)

  • We will work to educate and train all volunteers in the above guidelines.

  • We will ask anyone who feels sick to stay home.

  • We will lean on a team of medically trained individuals to help guide us beyond these steps.

  • We will have arrows on the floors to encourage proper hallway flow.

  • Signs with handwashing instructions in bathrooms.

  • Hand sanitizer stations, gloves, and masks will be available at all main entrances and ministry areas.

  • Will have one First Aid room available for anyone who is feeling sick or have a medical emergency.

  • Bathroom doors propped open with partition guarding privacy.

Pre-School

  • Once coming into the nursery, a worker will check you into touchpoint wearing gloves.

  • Upon arrival into the nursery, a worker will administer a touchless forehead temperature check to the children being checked in.

  • Consider the hallways as traffic lanes. Staying to the right side of the hallway while moving forward is good while crossing lanes to the left side of the hallway could be problematic.

  • A stronger presence of hand cleaning options—hand sanitizer, soap, etc.

  • Immediate responded surface sanitation after diaper changes and potty breaks

  • Playground equipment and toys will be sanitized and cleaned in between services.

  • Workers will be screened and briefed prior to services to confirm readiness and hygiene to serve.

  • Rooming arrangements will accommodate social distancing and intentionally combat clustering.

Children

  • Once coming into the Children’s area, a worker will check you into touchpoint wearing gloves.

  • It is recommended that one parent drop the children off to cut down on traffic.

  • Limit classrooms to 50% capacity as we move forward.

  • Rooms will be cleaned and ready prior to life group. We are asking each class to self-sanitize their rooms when finished with the supplies provided for each room.

  • As we take a measured effort to reopen Life Groups we want group leaders to be able to decide if they are able to meet in the beginning working closely with the Minister of Education. Should a Life Group leader wish not to meet we will encourage participants to join other groups during this measured reopening.

  • Coffee and condiments will be provided starting Sunday, August 23rd. However, we ask you to use precaution on multi-touch dispensers and items.

  • COVID response for Life Groups will be as follows: Should someone in the Life Group be made aware they have COVID we ask they contact their Life Group leader and the Minister of Education immediately so that we can contact everyone who was in your Life Group so that you can self-quarantine. That Life Group may be dismissed as a precaution of two weeks at which time we will look at safely reopening it. We will protect the identity of the individual(s) should they catch COVID and it will up to you if you wish to disclose your identity to avoid embarrassment , gossip, and panic.
